Transjakarta Bus Operating Hours Adjusted During Eid Holiday

During Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri holiday, Transjakarta adjusted bus operating hours and number of fleets.

On Eid, tomorrow, Transjakarta will start operating from 9 AM

It refers to Jakarta Gubernatorial Appeal (Sergub) No. 5/2021 on Community Activities Control in Preventing COVID-19 Spread During Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri Holiday.

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) President Director, Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo stated, this policy is enforced thus all employees on duty can carry out Eid prayer before returning to serve the public.

"On Eid, tomorrow, Transjakarta will start operating from 9 AM," he said, Wednesday (5/12).

He explained, Transjakarta will serve the public until 21:30 from Wednesday (5/12) to Sunday (5/16) according to the Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Decree No. 190/2021 on Transportation Control as an Effort to Prevent COVID-19 on Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri Holiday.

"While buses that operate for medical service will continue to operate until 23:00," he informed.

Transjakarta provided 11 additional services during Eid holiday. This service is provided to accommodate and anticipate potential surge in customers in several tourist destinations in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.

"We will serve the customers for three days, from May 14 to 16, at 05:00-19:00. We are ready to serve people's mobility in accordance with applicable regulations," he mentioned.

Transjakarta still imposes restriction on number of passengers up to 50 percent of normal capacity, where articulated bus can only be filled with maximum 60 passengers, medium bus 30 passengers, small bus 15 passengers, and mikrotrans 5 passengers.

"We encourage all passengers to adhere to all applicable procedures, especially when using Transjakarta services," he asserted.
